Oh, yes. I was getting this thing off the ground again.
The latest scoop:
Mrs. Williams
Our fearless leader is now a grandma 13 times over (Angie's 8, Catherine's 3, and Tracy's 2)! A little over a year ago, she and hubby Craig went on a once-in-a-lifetime cruise to the Mediterranean, visiting places like Barcelona, Naples, Pisa, Rome, Ephesus and Athens. They had a blast. (My parents went to Israel three years ago. I'm special too.) They're still heavily involved in Camp Pattersonville, and were really looking forward to the summer camps and seeing kids of former students. She also had rotator cuff surgery in April to repair an old injury. All things considered, life is good!
Mrs. Aucompaugh
For those who don't know, Mrs. A was widowed a number of years ago. Mrs. Williams reports that Mrs. A is now Betty Rose, since she's remarried. And quite happily so.
Brian & Hellen McKeon
Brian has spent a lot of time in some very personal disasters since June. First, the tornadoes that ripped through the southern states caused a lot of damage in Chattanooga and the surrounding areas, including where his sister Katie (Huffine) lives. Then, with the two hurricanes that socked the northeast, he spent a great deal of time back in his old stomping grounds, helping out his parents, whose home was completely flooded. (His folks could still use your prayers; they're getting the runaround from their insurance company (like a lot of others), and are having a hard time getting an adjuster to answer their questions. They're looking to find a place to stay during the winter to get out of the rug store.) Their little girl, Niya (who is just too cute), will be 2 next month.
Steve & Kristy Kautzmann
Steve & Kristy live in Washington State, where Steve works at Boeing still (I think), and Kristy is in veterinary training. I believe she graduated this year. I think. Based on what I see on Facebook. I think.
Melissa (Morrow) Ohashi
Melissa has been married to Mike Ohashi since 2002, and they have a son, Sean. She's currently going to school to become a medical assistant, and has been acing most of her classes.
Amy Arrant
Amy's daughter Morgann started high school this fall (are we really that old?), but the big news these days is that her five-month-old son is cutting his first teeth. (Lucky you, Amy!) Amy and her family currently live in Dallas, TX, and she works as a neonatal nurse.
Adrienne (Wood) Gardner
Gabby continues to do well in school and is involved in lots of stuff. Adrienne is still in grad school. You'd think I'd know more, since I see her posts all the time on Facebook. Adrienne also just recently lost her grandfather, but she was very grateful that Gabby got the chance to get to know him. Her grandparents were married for more than 70 years. We're so sorry for your loss, A. She, Tim and Gabby still live in Ballston Spa.
Adam Wroblewski
Adam lives in Greenville, PA, and works at ISS Facility Services
Your Humble Scribe
Since last I posted here, plenty has gone on.
Dan got hired as the Associate Pastor of Youth & Worship at Prince Street United Brethren in Shippensburg, PA, and started work there at the end of July. Not too long after that, we decided to start looking at houses and found one that we liked. We're currently hoping to close on our house mid-month, and I have been packing up the house when I can. Our lease here in Chambersburg runs out at the end of this month. I'm trying not to panic....
Charity started first grade here in Chambersburg, and I'm looking at what I need to do to change her school once we move. The twins are in preschool in Shippensburg three days a week, and Dan just takes them up with him when he goes to work.
My brother got married again last weekend (his divorce was final back in March or so); his new wife, Laura, has two kids of her own, Trinity (10) and Levi (6). Laura seems very nice, but I don't know her that well yet. The girls are very excited about having new stepsiblings, although they won't see them much. Steve & Laura live in Tioga, PA, about as close to NY as we are to MD. In fact, maybe closer.
